We couldn’t help marveling at the precision, skill and sophistication of the Japanese players, and we took pride in the speed, strength and power of the American team. After emerging early with a Carli Lloyd goal on an Alex Morgan assist, the Americans did what the Americans do best… find a way to win. As far as quality goes, however, Japan was the best show in town.
